I was in shock.. I couldn't believe what I saw. A young professional who was in total control of her round, let a major championship slip away in one miniscule moment of non focus. This will be short and to the point. Routine is our only foundation in the golf game. If you have a pre-shot routine use it to your advantage and make it your friend in the most extreme pressure situations. Great routines make not so great players awesome on any given day. I've worked hard on my routine and feel it's as good as how I wake up in the morning. I'm not saying I.K. Kim didn't follow through on her routine on the 72nd hole of the Kraft Nabisco, but right at the moment of impact her left hand jittered and when that happened it meant something wasn't right in her mind before she struck the putt. Golf must be played in the moment, and I truly believe she was thinking ahead. I've missed my share of short putts, but one thing's for certain... in that situation... I would have only been thinking of making the best possible stroke in that moment.
