Hole in One

Well I have an interesting story to tell.  I recently got my fourth Hole in One in a tournament down in Florida I attend each year.  I generally don't get too excited or share thoughts on special shots.  However, this was something a little more special than any other situation I have encountered in golf.  Last year in the same tournament.....
I got my third career hole in one with a 9 iron on the 12th hole at Windswept Dunes just outside Panama City Beach, Florida.  By the way, did I mention it was my first shot of the day on our first hole of the tournament at 8:30 am.  Shocking.  Now for the special part.  A year to the day, in the same tournament, on the same golf course, playing with one of the same players as last year, I repeated the feat.  Did I mention it was on the same hole, the 12th, except this year we started on the 13th, it was our final hole of the day on my final swing of the round, with a 7 iron.  I can't say anything like this has happened to me in golf but I do know that something like that only happens once in a lifetime, and therefore seems very special.  Now, I guess next year we'll see if all good things come in threes.

Jim;
Thats a great story! I have just joined your blog and read this one last. But guess what? ... there must be something in the water at Hidden Lakes as Peter Law who also teaches at that facility as you do,and I, were at the par three beside the road into the club ( can't recall the hole number) and he sunk his first shot off the tee and that was on the same day, same month to the year as well. I witnessed the effort. Ask him about it next time you see him.

He wanted to make our golf day an annual event for good luck. didn't happen though.

Cheers
Glen
